In “WAS AUF DER ERDE ZUSAMMENGEBRAUT WURDE, DAS KANN DER HIMMEL AUCH NICHT MEHR AUSLÖFFELN”. Britz reveals permeable cycles and draws attention to the interplay between the artificial everyday world and natural processes. The laboratory-like has permeated all forms of our language and, in its formulaic nature, extends to all areas of life, which it thereby travesties. Britz’s symbolically multi-layered, installation-based works express a humanity in limbo, trapped in a surreal state of the Apparatus-like.
