In IN A STATE OF LIMBO Britz reveals permeable cycles and draws attention to the interplay between the artificial everyday world and natural processes. The laboratory-like has permeated all forms of our language and, in its formulaic nature, extends to all areas of life, which it thereby travesties. Britz’s symbolically multi-layered, installation-based works express a humanity in limbo, trapped in a surreal state of the Apparatus-like.
